All our Montessori teachers are Montessori trained and are supported by the school in their commitment to expand and upgrade their skills. Generous Paid Time Off – Certified Montessori teachers receive two weeks (10 days) of Paid Time off at the end of the school year every June, in addition to paid time off for school closures and holidays (another 27 days).

Competitive Salary – Primary Guides’ salaries range from $21-35 per hour depending on experience, education, talents, certifications and licenses.

What We Need from You:

Qualifications: All Primary Team Guides must have Primary Montessori Certificates/Diplomas (3-6 level), as well as California State Early Childhood Certification (Child Development permit, Associate Teacher at the minimum). Bachelor’s degrees are desired. They must also be certified in pediatric first aid and CPR.

Physical Demands: Primary Team Guides must be able to hear and see the children. They must be able to lift and carry a child between the ages of 2 and 7 if necessary. They must be able to work on the floor, sit in small chairs, and get up and down frequently.

Non-physical Demands: Primary Team Guides must be able to maintain patience and work with challenging youngsters.
